Home Made by Tasneem is a concept restaurant and boutique catering service offering authentic Bohri cuisine. Home Made was conceptualized by Tasneem Makda who has been a home cook for over 20 years. Her specialties include Bohri Biryani, Kaari Chawal and Saancha ni ice-cream.
"Food has been in the family for years. My mom’s a great cook too. I grew up watching her use less
ingredients to create masterpieces! That’s art. I never intended to become a pastry chef in the
beginning. But during my course of engineering, I started experimenting with chocolate and
trying the results on friends and family. I was overwhelmed by the sheer excitement of the
process of creating something different every time you choose two ingredients. What began as
experimenting on weekends slowly grew into passion. From simple classic chocolate cakes to
structures I feel like there is no end to it because with desserts you can go wild with your
imagination. A couple of months ago I chose to take this to the next level and started with ‘The Next Door
Baker’ and since then, there’s no looking back."
